Green Generation Solutions, LLC in Bethesda, MD seeks Accounting Analyst. Employ financial models & assess financial impact of transactions. Analyze financial performance to identify trends & develop financial projections. Analyze & review budget variances. Assist with prep of period close & reports & other ad hoc projects. Review contract terms, provide all project-related billings & prep invoices. Collab with team & initiate process improvement opps. Support IT department with procurement & management of hardware, software, & telecom resources. Collect & organize financial data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy & completeness. Analyze business & financial data by geographic, asset type & assist in pricing process. Monitor & analyze industry & market trends to assess potential impacts on org's financial performance. Build & maintain financial models to support scenario analysis, investment decisions, & strategic planning. Analyze how each green retrofitting proj performs, incl budget to actual, modeling for asset performance & optimization, & team performance. Develop forecast model for proposed pipeline projects. Conduct detailed financial analysis of proposed pipeline projects to support client project proposal presentations. Perform project performance analyses against forecasts & expected returns on investment. Evaluate client portfolio performance following project implementation per company budget forecasts. Analyze risks related to investments in green tech. Assess the financial status of company and analyze financial info to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions. Interpret data on price, yield, stability, future trends, economic influences, & other factors affecting projects & assets. Assess & evaluate market conditions or green building industry trends. Conduct financial analyses related to ops in green construction or retrofitting projects. Analyze cost structures & cost drivers, offering insights into cost optimization opps. Conduct in-depth financial analysis by reviewing & interpreting financial statements, identify key financial trends, & assess company's financial performance. Perform financial analyses rltd to green retrofitting projects. Assist in development of annual budgets & financial forecasts using historical data & modeling. Evaluate project budgets to actual based on revenue recognition policy. Analyze budget-to-actual variances & help management understand financial performance. Suggest adjustments & updates to the budget based on analysis insights. Utilize data visualization tools to create monthly budget analysis dashboard, e.g., Power BI & Tableau. Update employees’ FSA/HSA expense schedule; reconcile & analyze prefunded contributions against actual spending. Reconcile UK VAT collections & remittance to report accurate filing to tax authorities. Address tech accounting issues that require SQL or Python support. Prepare bank reconciliations. Coordinate with external accountants for financial & tax reporting activities. Prepare & distribute regular financial reports & dashboards to relevant stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators & areas of concern. Collab on projects with lawyers, accountants, or public relations experts. Assist with special financial projects & ad hoc analysis as req by management. Coordinate with the operations team to create new client profiles & schedule billings. Draft & issue AR invoices to clients in accordance with contract terms. Monitor collections & billing project status to analyze collection period & status. Monitor AR aging on a weekly basis to identify & resolve collection issues. Provide project analysis to ops team. Streamline/automate current processes & complete docs of SOPs for accounting best practices. Organize an electronic filing system & maintain records retention. Perform SWOT analysis and make recommendations for process improvement. Draw charts & graphs, using computer spreadsheets, to illustrate tech reports & dashboards for visual understanding. Must possess a Master’s Degree in Finance, Data Analytics Engineering, Statistics or a related field. Must also possess experience with (i) designing interactive dashboards for data presentation; (ii) using data consolidation and Slicers for data analysis; (iii) using conditional Formatting and What-If Analysis for data mining; (iv) setting rules for data entry to ensure data integrity for data validation; (v) using charts and Graphs, Heat Maps, Treemaps and Sunbursts for data visualization; (vi) using array formulas, text functions, and complex logical functions, such as VLOOKUP, Index Match, and SUMPRODUCT; (vii) automating repetitive tasks using macros and Visual Basic for Applications; (viii) Pivot Tables; (ix) importing, transforming, and combining data from various sources into Power Query; (x) creating advanced data models and performing calculations in Power Pivot; (xi) accounting software such as Deltek Vantagepoint or QuickBooks; (xii) business intelligence and data analysis software such as Tableau or PowerBI; (xiii) cloud-based data access and sharing software including Microsoft SharePoint; (xiv) database management system software such as MySQL and Oracle Database; (xv) development environment software such as Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications; (xvi) Electronic mail software including Microsoft Outlook; and (xvii) development Software such as RStudio or Python.
