Main purpose of positionWe are on the lookout for a Senior Finance & Asset Manager in Bucharest, Romania to join our ambitious global team. Together, we will strive towards our vision of Improving Our Future. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the daily management and implementation of all commercial, contractual, regulatory, and reporting obligations for a portfolio of Scatec's PV power plants in Romania, ensuring that we deliver on our promise of sustainable and competitive renewable energy. Main responsibilities
- Take the lead in monitoring and executing all commercial and administrative tasks, commitments, responsibilities, and undertakings belonging to each Project Company;
- Take the lead in financially and operationally optimising the portfolio from a cash flow, modelling and process point of view.
- Manage the Project Companies’ contracts, communication with Directors/shareholders, outsourced services providers and all third parties, in accordance with the terms of the Management Service Agreement (i.e. be the primary contact for stakeholder management of Project Companies). This includes the scopes of Financing Agreements, energy sales, regulatory, environmental, EPC, O&M, administration, corporate reporting and all other contractual obligations of the Projects.
- Create and implement local finance process and collaborate with different Scatec Business Units throughout the project phases of construction and operations to optimize returns, performance and mitigate risk.
- Support projects during the development stage to reach financial close and ensure Asset Management structures are in compliance with budget and internal policies.
- The position also includes project administration duties.
Qualifications and competencies
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent (ideal: Management Accounting, MBA, or Chartered Accountant Qualification)
- 7+ years of working experience in finance, project/asset management or project finance-related banking or advisory, corporate finance or controlling.
- Corporate governance and Board Reporting/presentations
- International experience or working in foreign-owned subsidiaries is an advantage;
- Experience in the renewable industry, oil and gas, real estate or infrastructure sectors;
- High Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent in English & Romanian (written & spoken)
- Proficiency in understanding and budgeting cashflows
- Proficiency in understanding financial modelling and analysis
- Project Management of large-scale renewable or construction projects
