Job Purpose:

The Marketing and Business Development Associate’s role is to build Rappel’s public presence and support sales growth.  This person will drive Rappel’s marketing efforts and develop qualified sales leads as Rappel enters its next phase of growth.  Core functions of this position will include developing and deploying marketing collateral for social media, case studies, and industry audiences, conducting proactive outreach to target companies directly, and supporting the sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Establish and execute coordinating marketing plan, including social media, traditional media, website SEO, and industry-specific channels, to extend Rappel’s market reach

·       Develop and deploy marketing collateral, including case studies, social media, website, and presentations

·       Conduct industry and channel-specific marketing and business development campaigns, supporting market expansion opportunities

·       Lead direct outreach to potential leads, representing Rappel’s solutions and qualifying new leads for the sales team

·       Support business development and sales conversations, including preparing presentations and proposal materials, responding to requests for proposals, and coordinating steps as required

 

Desired Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree in relevant industry

·       2+ years of direct experience in marketing or business development for a tech-enabled service

·       Established track record of interacting directly with potential customers or clients

·       Direct experience in climate, sustainability, energy, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform duties of the job

·       Demonstrated strong, independent organizational and process management across multiple workstreams and stakeholders, both internal and external

·       Demonstrated active listening and proactive solutioning to identify customer pain points, and to ideate product features or marketing changes that address and resolve those pain points

·       Able to independently prioritize tasks and take initiative to deliver results, even in the face of evolving demands and challenges

·       Thrive in high performing team environment: clearly and confidently assert unique perspectives, proactively collaborate with team members, own individual workstreams while targeting and celebrating team success

 

Location: Pasadena, hybrid working model
