Job Description

  

Job Summary:
Performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable wiring, and fitting on assembly units. Performs precision mechanical assembly for infrared camera production. Performs the required processes for initial testing of camera parts and subassemblies. Utilizes production tooling, computers, and specialized equipment required for production and material/WIP tracking. Identifies and documents discrepant material/parts. May complete rework on discrepant material or collect data for RMA material as required. Interacts with coworkers, Managers, and Engineering for troubleshooting and Continuous Improvement efforts. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete mechanical assembly of cameras in accordance with assembly procedures and training.
  • •Part inspection, testing and electronics soldering – including the use of microscopes.
  • Use software and precision test equipment to check/normalize electronic subassemblies.
  •  Interpret technical documents such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints.
  • Identify and document discrepant parts; perform necessary rework.
  • Complete production traveler documentation and log electronic manufacturing data.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving parts/supplies.
  • Track consumable parts; submit requisitions in SAP applications.
  • Maintain neat and clean workspace.
  • Adhere to Government Trade Compliance and corporate policies.

Job Qualifications: 

  • Basic printed circuit board soldering skills.
  • Experience handling ESD sensitive devices.
  • Experience with use of metrology equipment (calipers, multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Ability to lift at least 40lbs.
  • Basic computer skills - Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses and color vision.
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.
