Job Summary:
The Legislative and Regulatory Manager will support the VP of Public Policy with the company鈥檚 policy and regulatory agenda, including strategy and execution of legislative campaigns, management of company consultants and advocacy organizations, and the tracking of, and filings related to, regulatory requirements. Legislative and regulatory focus will be on state and local government in the US, and internationally the EU and member states and the UK.
Responsibilities:
Development and execution of legislative strategy in the U.S. with state and local government, and internationally in the EU and the UK.
Analysis of regulations, particularly in the EU and UK, regarding privacy and device certifications.
Work closely with outside consultants, grassroots allies and other stakeholders to advance legislative and other public policy initiatives.
Analysis of pending legislation, regulations and current laws.
Work cross functionally with internal teams to maximize market opportunities, ensure compliance with appropriate laws and regulations, and seek input on pending policy issues.
Engage with trade associations and attend industry conferences.
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree
5+ years experience in policy, government, and/or law.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and
build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
Passion for solving problems and finding effective solutions, regardless of how big or small the task
Ability to work collaboratively across internal teams
Required ability to travel up to 10%.
