We’re looking for a Consulting Engineer to lead projects on wind turbine towers, foundations, and structural components. You’ll apply your expertise in maintenance consulting, reliability engineering, and technical advisory while collaborating across teams to deliver high-impact results. If you're passionate about the wind industry and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.Key responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead product direction and decision-making at ONYX, bringing valuable field insights from regional projects to enhance tower and foundation monitoring solutions.</li><li>Collaborate with the business development team to create accurate costings and technical sales proposals.</li><li>Represent ONYX at industry events, contributing to presentations and expanding our presence.</li><li>Oversee and manage condition monitoring hardware installation projects, both remotely and on-site.</li><li>Ensure smooth communication with clients and internal/external stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.</li><li>Develop and deliver customer-facing presentations, project reports, and updates.</li><li>Ensure the successful delivery of pilot and commercial projects, from initial concept to final execution.</li><li>Manage subcontractors and create work instructions for efficient project delivery.</li><li>Provide expert consulting on predictive maintenance and asset management strategies.</li><li>Participate in global product reviews with hardware and software teams, ensuring product evolution meets market demands.</li></ul>Ideally you’ll have/be: <ul><li>A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Mechanical preferred).</li><li>At least 3 years of experience preferably in the wind industry, with in-depth knowledge of wind turbine hardware, and specialization in foundations and towers.</li><li>Hands-on experience in mechanical engineering—design, prototyping, testing, and implementing controls on machinery.</li><li>A willingness to learn new skills, including software tools and advanced engineering concepts.</li><li>Strong computer skills and proficiency with the MS Office suite.</li><li>Ability to work independently in a flexible, results-driven environment.</li><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, particularly under pressure.</li><li>Strong technical presentation skills.</li><li>Willingness to travel occasionally to wind farms and industry events.</li></ul>About ONYX ONYX Insight is a growing technology and engineering organisation in the renewable energy sector.
