Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Vehicle Integration to lead our Application Engineering team and drive seamless integration of InductEV’s wireless charging technology into commercial vehicle platforms. This role will be responsible for leading OEM and Tier 1 partner engagements, managing system integration requirements, overseeing validation processes, and ensuring successful product deployment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automotive engineering, electric vehicle systems, software integration, and program management. They must be able to work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively, and excel in problem-solving.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Define and lead vehicle integration strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry trends.
  • Oversee the development of system requirements, architecture, and integration methodologies for InductEV’s wireless charging technology.
  • Establish and drive best practices for integration, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and risk management.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between InductEV, OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Define and negotiate technical requirements and validation plans to ensure seamless adoption of InductEV’s technology.
  • Lead design reviews and technical discussions, ensuring compliance with FMVSS, ECE R100, ISO 26262, and other industry standards.
  • Establish strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and third-party vendors to align integration efforts with industry best practices.
  • Ensure comprehensive test plans and validation protocols for functional, performance, and durability testing.
  • Direct lab and vehicle-level integration testing, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Implement advanced troubleshooting techniques and lead root cause analysis to address integration challenges effectively.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and component layouts, adhering to automotive design guidelines.
  • Manage complex engineering programs from concept to production, ensuring on-time execution and budget adherence.
  • Develop and track program roadmaps, KPIs, and risk mitigation strategies to drive successful execution.
  • Lead post-mortem reviews of integration projects to identify lessons learned and optimize future processes.
  • Implement change management processes to handle evolving technical requirements and project scope, minimizing disruptions.
  • Continuously enhance integration methodologies and workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and business teams to define technology roadmaps and drive scalable integration solutions.

 

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in automotive integration, with a focus on strategy development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations, including ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and FMVSS/ECE regulations.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and third-party vendors.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing integration strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Experience with Electric Vehicles (Preferred but not required)
