Job Description

OVERVIEW
Think Smart Electric Vehicles & Modern Mobility are super cool? Get a kick out of driving strategy and execution for scaled impact? Want to participate in building out a meaningful business from the ground up? Then this opportunity might be for you: The Business & Corporate Development Team at NIO USA is responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of NIO’s Go-To-Market for the Americas.  This is a strategic corporate initiative, sponsored by the CEO & CFO, and comes with high visibility and tall expectations!  NIO’s Go-To-Market Approach has an intense focus on user experience.  The availability and readiness of NIO’s fleet to support the target user experience is critical.  To achieve those, the underlying fleet process design and fleet process infrastructure are of equal importance.  As the Fleet Process & Experience, Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for defining the requirements for the fleet management process and infrastructure - building on best-in-class benchmarks, while re-imagining and innovating to define a true world class solution.  You will also drive the implementation and buildout of your proposed process and infrastructure – working very closely with internal experts as well as strategic partners, to ensure the outcome achieves the design, experience and business goals set forth.
This position reports to the VP, Business and Corporate Development at our San Jose, CA office.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and develop the fleet service process, including required infrastructure and related user experience, from concept to realized scaled implementation.
  • Benchmark current fleet service processes, derive best-practices, and articulate core capabilities required to achieve world class outcome and influence new user stories/interactions.
  • Identify gaps in current process, and opportunities for optimization given NIO’s intrinsic capabilities and ability to partner.
  • Establish and manage key relationships with potential business partners in support of go-to-market strategy
  • Define the fleet process user experience, design the fleet process, and produce detailed requirements for both the process and the infrastructure required for a scaled solution.
  • Collaborate heavily with internal teams and external partners to realize the infrastructure functionality and cost targets.
  • Bring insights on critical topics, translate the insights into actionable plans, and help execute as needed.
  • Drive the execution of the designed solution - from detailed plan, to pilot, to broader deployment.
  • For all assigned responsibilities, own the outcome: Evangelize, lead, collaborate, motivate, persuade - internally and externally - and deliver exceptional outcomes backed by world-class work-product!

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in fleet service and maintenance, ideally for a premium EV fleet.
  • Direct deep experience with routine maintenance process design and infrastructure specification, for a scaled fleet.
  • Exhibited proficiency in processes and infrastructure benchmarking.  Ability to identify key attributes and parameters to be benchmarked, to creatively pursue the collection of relevant data, and to clearly frame and express the final results of the analysis.
  • Exhibited proficiency in clearly documenting detailed requirements for processes and infrastructure, including the rationale for and prioritization of the requirements.
  • Full spectrum experience preferred, from process design all the way to implementation and process tuning. Comfort seamlessly switching from process expert to process requirements management.
  • Eagerness to learn, discover, collaborate, imagine and build new things, quickly.
  • Startup attitude - high motivation and willingness to take on a big challenge with potential for significant impact.
  • Bias towards action, and willingness to roll up sleeves and “solve” forward.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Process Engineering, or equivalent.
