Description

General Summary:

The Service Coordinator is responsible for putting together service quotes, entering the information into our CRM (Green Tree) and maintaining industrial batteries, chargers and battery handling equipment in a timely and efficient manner.  The Service Coordinator is also responsible for investigating and resolving a customer鈥檚 technical issues and providing recommended solutions to issues uncovered. Service Coordinator will be responsible for invoicing customers, following service processes, and reviewing service reports and following up with customers. Serve as back up to Service Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follows all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to:  safety, environmental, OSHA, and DOT Hazmat.
  • Scheduling and coordinating of Service Calls and Deliveries.
  • Process Service Requests in GreenTree. Invoice Service Requests within 2 business days of completion of work by Service Tech.
  • Ensure Service Technicians hand in reports and daily timesheets promptly and accurately. 
  • Organizes Preventive Maintenance contracts with customers.
  • Coordinate Service Truck Inventory quarterly.
  • Coordinate Service Truck Maintenance and maintain proper logs.
  • Coordinates problem resolution with technical support, customer service, sales, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
  • Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
  • Maintains a safe, orderly, and clean working environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent required. Two year technical degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education preferred
  • One to three years of battery industry or related experience and preferably in a field service environment.
  • Service Support and Administrative office operations preferred.

Skills and Ability:

  • The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes and traits:
  • A desire to work independently as well as with others.
  • The ability to quickly analyze situations and make a decision, and provide immediate feedback to the customer.
  • Previous Field Service experience
  • Able to complete in a timely, neat and accurate manner all customer reports including work orders.
  • Ability to Multi-Task in a fast paced environment.
  • Intermediate Computer Skill

Knowledge:

  • 2+ Years working with industrial batteries.
  • Strong relevant technical, product and applications knowledge is highly desired.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge. (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Interface:

This position will have regular contact with end user customers, including lift truck dealer Sales, Operations and customer service personnel.  Internal contacts include Sales Managers, Branch Managers, Sales Staff, Production, Operations, Safety  and Field Service

Travel:

This position is currently not a travelling role; however some travelling between branches and customers may be necessary for training and or meetings.

Environmental & Physical Demands:

The Service Coordinator position requires indoor/office work with limited exposure to excessive noise, dust, or temperature changes.  Occasionally the Service Supervisor may go into the production area.  The physical demands of this job requires the employee to sit for long periods of time and perform other desk and office related activities.
