These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford’s 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On’s 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world’s best battery manufacturer.
The Production Control Analyst at BlueOval SK – BlueOval Battery Park in Glendale, Kentucky will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Produce the daily and weekly production schedules for final, sub-assembly and machining (Volume/Mix/Sequence)
Utilize the Enterprise Resource System (SAP) Inventory Management System to schedule battery manufacturing and communicate to customers shipping intentions.
Daily follow-up and distribution follow-up on VO shipments
Support final balance outs and running changes to customers
Track daily shipping status, daily parts follow-up and min/max reporting to support production schedule
Coordinate shipments to and from local suppliers / warehouses
Correct shipping transactions, monitor and validate production counts and scrap transactions
Provide MP&L team with daily line-ups
Perform cycle count analysis and control inventory cycle entry
Coordinate special counts to assure actual physical inventory balances match inventory records
Assist with plant cycle schedule and count confirmation
Respond to VO/PTO schedule changes, react to quality, shipping, and schedule changes
Assist in managing bailment activities if necessary
Assist in backing up MP&L salaried personnel as required in order to cover vacations, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Arts, or Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics, Material Planning and Logistics, in Business-Business Admin, Business-Engineering Management, Engineering-Industrial, Engineering-Manufacturing, Engineering-Packaging Engineer desired.
Material Planning and Logistics experience
Strong ability to interface with plant hourly and salaried personnel, logistic carriers, and production suppliers
Proficient in computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access etc...)
Experience desired in Common Manufacturing Management System (CMMS) or similar ERP
Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability
Knowledge of Ford Production System (lean manufacturing) is desired but not necessary
Position's operating pattern supports plant production schedule, which is a 4-crew operating pattern
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Plant experience is desired but not required
Need to react well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management
Need a “whatever it takes to get the job done” type of attitude
Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors consisting of outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
