Position Overview

The HCBP Analyst is a key team member supporting the day-to-day execution and delivery of the Human Capital strategy. The HCBP Analyst should exhibit solid understanding of the role a Human Capital team plays within financial services, as the right candidate will have the opportunity to involve themselves in a variety of different projects and workstreams across their defined coverage remit. Given the entrepreneurial culture of the firm, the individual must be prepared to “roll up their sleeves” on a variety of tasks across all levels of the HC team’s scope and breadth, providing direct support to the HC Business Partners on activities spanning the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, training and development, performance management, organization planning, compensation, analytics, immigration, and employee engagement.


The HCBP Analyst will support the HCBP team leading coverage for Apollo’s Enterprise Solutions businesses across EMEA, as well as support ad-hoc projects and initiatives in region.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partnering closely with the HCBP team to support day-to-day execution of core HC processes across the employee life cycle

  • Driving discrete activities in alignment with delivering the HC strategy, including supporting recruiting processes, building onboarding plans, analyzing and synthesizing employee data, drafting culture and engagement activation plans, contributing to performance management activities, drafting and editing employee documentation, and supporting on employee relations case management

  • Drafting and maintaining business-specific presentations and communication materials, including presentations for strategy sessions, business talent reviews, and HC analytics, as well as onboarding and offboarding materials

  • Acting as key user of core HC technology platforms including Workday, Apollo’s HRIS system, and Perceptyx, Apollo’s Engagement Survey tool

  • Partnering with HCBPs and managers on the year-end compensation process, taking an active role in reviewing compensation planning decisions and compensation statements

  • Working closely with the Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Total Reward, Employment Legal, and related HC teams on all elements of the employee experience (e.g., engagement, culture, training, and development, etc.)

  • Supporting special projects across HC, bringing innovative thinking, creativity, and an analytical mindset to all workstreams and activities

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in Human Capital, consulting, or other related role; Financial Services experience preferred

  • Undergraduate degree or professional qualification from a top institution with a record of academic achievement

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rigorous work environment; demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines

  • Strong initiative and ownership of responsibilities; must exhibit a proactive, positive attitude towards given tasks, effectively balancing multiple workstreams via planning ahead for potential issues and taking appropriate action to resolve roadblocks

  • Exemplary interpersonal skills; ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with tact and diplomacy

  • Strong analytical skills and mindset; keen ability to leverage date to tell a story and make informed recommendations

  • Exercises good judgment and operates with the highest level of discretion and professionalism in all interactions and situations

  • Superb written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail when composing and proofing materials

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
