Job Description
Job Summary:
The individual will be primarily responsible for Raymarine sales with focus on the commercial marked. The salesperson will get a sales area in Norway and his first priority is to gain market share in the commercial market with our new commercial and IMO product line, but also take care of other dealers in this area.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
(in addition to these tasks, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required):
• Develop a tactical sales plan for the Commercial Retail and Service Dealers.
• Complete and send weekly Sales Activity Reports to the Norwegian Sales Manager.
• Co-ordinate promotions and POS in the different channels.
• Conduct regular visits to the customers, as required in these Sales channels.
• Communication by phone and E mail to answer queries from customers.
• Constantly assess the competition in the Sales channels, collecting price, promotion and POS data.
• Assist with the setup and manning of consumer and trade events in the Sales Channel during the season.
• Identify any new opportunities in the channel and forward to the Norwegian Sales Manager.
• Assist with any other ‘ad hoc’ work as required by the department.
• Recommend and report on new products required to meet competitive challenges or to exploit new market opportunities not currently addressed by Raymarine.
• Ensure that effective communications channels exist to provide continuous feedback on market conditions and competitive position.
• Represent Raymarine at trade/boats fairs throughout the year, including weekends.
• Sell in and manage new products, technical solutions and features for the boat production segment.
• Maintain and develop The Norwegian SoMe platforms on a regular basis (Instagram and Facebook).
Additionally:
• Formal Education/Qualifications required: A Level standard, preferably degree educated although not essential.
• Experience: Experience in commercial marine electronic sales, Channel sales including B to B, preferably in marine markets. An understanding of boats is essential.
• Knowledge/Skills: Technically gifted, computer literate and capable of reporting and communicating well. Personal interest in boats.
• Must be able to read/write and speak Norwegian and English at a reasonable level.
• Communication with others/Customer Relations: Good written and verbal communications skills at all levels with all internal staff and all customers within customer organizations.
• Working Conditions: This is a full-time role and flexibility is essential.
• Supervisory responsibility/position in Firm's structure: No direct reports.
• Travel: The candidate must commit to some weeks traveling in Norway and a few weekends with boat fairs during a season.
• Candidates must be self-motivated, have a positive attitude and target focused. They must be a team player, but also capable of developing their own relationships with our trade customers and must have the standing to represent Raymarine at the appropriate level with major customers within the territory. Must be capable of working under pressure and unsupervised.

Job Qualifications:
• Professional and recreational boating experience and interest.
• Norwegian and English language skills.
• Technical interest.
• Excellent social and communication skills, ability to work unsupervised.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Acquire knowledge of laws and regulations for commercial vessels.
• Driving license class B.
Knowledge/Skills:
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, clear, concise and accurate are essential.
• Clear spoken Nordic languages and English
• PC literate and competent operator of telephony is essential.
• Experience of close communication direct with customers is required.
• Some experience or interest in electronics
• Ability to work within a team.
• Self motivated, ability to prioritize workload.
