This position is on-site and located in Silver Peak, NV. The Safety Supervisor will fill a key role for operational leaders at the Silver Peak Site Lithium Mine and processing plant. As a member of the Silver Peak Leadership Team, the Safety Supervisor will work with the Operations team to deliver operational excellence as it relates to safety. This is a hands-on, dynamic role where you will need to demonstrate leadership coupled with excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise on all levels.  The role will be instrumental in building our capacity in safety leadership across the Operations team and in supporting Albemarle’s Life Saving Rules, such as the Permit to Work system. This role will supervise a Safety Professional. The role will report to the Plant Manager with support and direction provided by the Lithium Global Business Unit HSE Lead.Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Compliance with government Safety regulations and company expectations</li><li>Serve as Silver Peak Site subject matter expert for Safety</li><li>Serve as safety leader on the Site’s Leadership Team</li><li>Oversight of Safety program at Silver Peak Site</li><li>Facilitate safety auditing and management engagement across site</li><li>Lead the site safety training programs to ensure they are current and effective.</li><li>Develop and manage NA safety training program to achieve compliance with MSHA and OSHA standards, where applicable, including schedule, content, and delivery.</li><li>Be a champion for the Albemarle Life Saving rules such as Permit to Work and Lock out Tag out systems.</li><li>Lead safety improvement projects</li><li>Lead safety related investigations.</li><li>Perform safety related reporting for internal and external audiences</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<ul><li>Competency in both OSHA and MSHA Compliance</li><li>Training experience preferred</li><li>Experience in safety compliance auditing</li><li>Expert level of knowledge pertaining to safety standards and best practices</li><li>Experience supervising a small group of safety focused employees</li><li>Ability to manage multiple activities with varied scope, schedule, and priorities.</li><li>Experience in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of safety systems, processes, and procedures</li><li>Solid command of the English language as spoken and written.</li><li>Ability to lead and manage continuous improvement by influence requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills on all fronts</li><li>Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Ability to create and manage documentation from multiple parallel efforts at one time. </li><li>Strong computer skills</li></ul>Education and Qualifications<ul><li>B.S.
