TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking a Training and Development Specialist. This is a blended role, and the ideal candidate will be service oriented in the delivery of several critical human resources functions. This position will work with our remote staff and contractors, focusing on our growing team. Candidates for this remote based position may be located anywhere in the United States.
The Training and Development specialist reports to the HR Director and assesses, designs, and/or conducts training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance. In addition, they will assist in the administration of a broad range of HR duties including recruitment, employee/labor relations, and the communication of organizational policies and procedures.
IEEFA is a rapidly-growing NGO/nonprofit that conducts research and analysis on financial and economic issues related to energy markets, trends and policies. Headquartered in the United States, IEEFA has a team of 70+ analysts and communications personnel located in 15 countries across the globe. IEEFA produces a significant volume of original research, as well as ongoing analysis and reports on issues affecting energy industries. Key responsibilities:
Training and Development – 80%
HR Generalist – 20%
Required qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Minimum of two years of training and/or organizational development consulting experience
· Strong commitment to excellence in service.
· Strong relationship-building, consultative and influencing skills; and exceptional interpersonal skills to interact and communicate with diplomacy and tact with all levels and backgrounds of staff.
· A high degree of judgment and discretion, adaptability, strong problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and with a team with a strong initiative to manage high volume workflow.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Solid program management and multi-tasking skills.
· Commitment to continued learning and professional development.

Preferred qualifications:
· One to two years of HR Generalist or related experience
· Experience in leadership consultation regarding human resource matters
· Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning theories
· Previous experience working for an NGO/non-profit organization
· Previous experience working for a global organization
Salary: $63,500 - $74,000; Salary commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule: Full time, 40 hours/week. The Training and Development Specialist will work with IEEFA’s global teams and will establish a schedule to include some early morning and evening shifts due to time zone differences.
Travel: Some domestic and international travel may be required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The Training and Development Specialist will work remotely. Must be able to work for prolonged periods at a computer. Computer work can involve repetitive motion, eyestrain, back and neck strain.
