Main Purpose of the Position

We are currently looking for a Project Coordinator based in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future.

As our Project Coordinator you will assist and support the Project Manager for all aspects of the project performance that is linked to non conformances, latent defects, serial defects or general warranty claims; including the management of the EPC contract, the relevant SUB EPC contract, cost, schedule, and interfaces with project stakeholders, as well as safety of personnel and equipment.

 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Support in Non-conformance administration
  • Understand the contract interfaces between the EPC and SPV contracts, supply and O&M contracts for the relevant plants
  • Coordinate meetings with all stakeholders
  • Coordinate stakeholder rectification works related to non conformances
  • Support in the control and management of projects by travelling to the plants as needed for the sign off, of works and close out of projects
  • Support the EPC and O&M Team to reduce potential Non-Conformances
  • Support closing out the EPC Punch list to ensure a smooth Taking Over process from the construction phase into the O&M phase
  • Support in spare part management
  • Maintain the Lessons Learned Data Base and hold workshops where relevant and required.
  • Support during Taking Over phase

Qualifications and skills

  • Degree or equivalent in Construction Management and/or Contract/ Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: 4+ years in the Construction industry and Project Management environment
  • Ideal: Solar PV Plant operational experience
  • Claim Management experience
  • Language: fluent both written and spoken in English
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Specialization in solar and/or renewable energy on large scale projects is desirable
