The Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing various multidisciplinary projects of a complex nature to meet client requirements including financial management, client management and contract administration of delegated projects. This position develops and maintains strong relationships with clients.
The incumbent will role model the SJ Group values, ethics and code of conduct and ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with these guiding principles.
Experience:
- Succeed in a similar role with 6-8 years of relevant experience;
- Manage and direct medium to large scale projects successfully to budget and client specifications;
- Coordinate, design, and deliver projects within multi-disciplinary engineering projects;
- Produce complex documentation, reports, and proposals to meet client requirements on medium to large scale projects of reasonable complexity;
- Manage, develop, and resource a team effectively and within budget;
- Build and maintain trusting and effective client relationships and deliver excellent client service.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide project management and/or project governance of projects to achieve reliable project performance in terms of sophistication, timeliness and quality;
- Build and maintain strong and effective client relationships through successful project delivery and targeted activities;
- Contribute to providing leadership to employees on the project to ensure project team cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention, and professional development.
- Effectively manages and leads a team of nominated direct reports to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development.
