JOB SUMMARY:

The Sr. Plant Manager will be responsible for enabling a People First culture while leading team(s) in multiple areas of one facility of moderate size in planning, organizing, and executing production plans while driving continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and costs. This role will ensure all production contractual commitments are satisfied as developed in the Operations strategy and will develop team members for future growth and success.

This leader will have an exciting opportunity to be a part of a brand-new start up location reporting to the General Manager and will work onsite from the Murfreesboro, TN location. The Sr Plant Manager will oversee operations for process such as but not limited to welding, fabrication, paint and electrical vehicle assembly operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee leaders and the plant manufacturing process/daily workflow of a larger facility with greater than 300 employees and setting standards to ensure on-time production and quality objectives are met.
  • Provide guidance and leadership of manufacturing process for multiple production areas or one large facility.
  • Interact with external customers and segment leadership on a frequent basis.
  • Design manufacturing objectives and work plans for areas or facility of responsibilities; delegates assignments and ensures accountability for successful completion.
  • Analyze capital budget investment opportunities and make recommendations to operations/segment leads.
  • Partner with peers within Operations to strategically select and develop operations talent.
  • Support the performance management process and executes in regard to supporting career development and growth for team members and leaders.
  • Provides input to strategic plan: including timelines, reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and communications.
  • Research and implement the appropriate application of continuous improvement tools and techniques in meeting manufacturing objectives.
  • Collaborate with Operations leaders on labor planning to ensure proper staffing levels to service the business while effectively managing overhead costs.
  • Employee involvement and safety is promoted and supported.
  • Attends daily/weekly production, staff, marketing, business unit, and CIP meetings.
  • Relevant business topic and plans for execution are prepared ahead and discussed at meeting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Bachelor鈥檚 degree in business, Operations Management, or in a related field.
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of management experience leading and developing others.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with automotive or heavy-duty equipment manufacturing.
  • Experience with electric vehicle manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Knowledge in six sigma principles
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills desirable
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range:

$117,000.00 - $202,400.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
