FLIR Systems are looking for a Strategic Business Development Manager Automation drive strategic and tactical development of the business segment globally, from a regional perspective to create sustainable value for FLIR from customers, markets, and relationships.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Support sales in key account development & winning programs of significant value

•    Be the market expert in strategically important key accounts and significant opportunities

•    Understand customer’s business at intimate level and provide clear ROI message of FLIR’s solution for customer’s application (Design FLIR into tenders/solicitations)

•    Technical expert, with the ability to stitch together FLIR products into solution for customer’s applications

•    Represents the entire range of FLIR products, solutions, and services

•    Develop partnerships (technology/go-to-market/VAR/OEM) that help fill gaps in solution portfolio and go to market strategy

•    Identify, evaluate and verify market/application opportunities within the vertical

•    Builds, maintains, and leverages strong executive relationships with prospective accounts, regulatory bodies, industry associations to advance FLIR sales

•    Influence key stakeholders in the Market

•    Conduct competitive analysis from a vertical market perspective

•    Cultivate and share market intelligence with team (GTM & Sol LOB)

•    Define solutions offering to different market verticals and organizational function that provides the highest customer value

•    Design a comprehensive sustainable growth strategy for each business vertical

•    Assist PM/R&D with solution architecture to create differentiated and defensible position

•    Clear, measurable value creation with customer from our solutions

•    Support and advise in developing creative plans for channel sell through

•    Explore and advise on new technologies & solutions that fulfill the FLIR Mission & fill strategic gaps

•    Representative of go to market team for PM/R&D on solutions roadmap

•    Communicate value prop and target market information to feed marketing strategy

•    Representative to UX team on Voice of Customer programs

Job Qualifications: 

  • Preferably located in Germany
  • Strong Business Acumen
  • Willingness to travel internationally
