Main purpose of position

 

Currently we are looking for a Community Liaison Officer (CLO) in Craiova, Romania to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our CLO you will maintain stakeholder relations between Scatec and the community and implement social management processes and community development initiatives to mitigate project related impacts and to benefit local communities.

 

Main responsibilities 

  • Establish and maintain an effective relationship between the local community and Scatec.
  • Build and foster an environment that supports community involvement, continuous community engagement.
  • Provide community members with opportunities to express their concerns and raise issues.
  • Rally and build community spirit around the project.
  • Provide regular and timely information and project updates to the local community and relevant stakeholders.
  • Create a stakeholder database, develop and regularly update community profiles and expectations.
  • Liaise with the project management & local government offices for planning and implementation of resettlement of households impacted by the project as relevant and communication of local job other opportunities to the communities
  • Deliver weekly and monthly reports on activities.

Qualifications and competencies 

  • University degree.
  • General knowledge of local and state government practices.
  • Well-developed knowledge of local language, culture, customs and practices in the community.
  • Have IT skills for operating Software and Apps.
  • Must be able to work flexibly according to operational needs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • 2+ years in community experience in the following areas are plus.
  • Socio economic development.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Formulation of strategies.
