Candidates must be available to work both day and night.The successful candidate must be available to travel out of town as needed for extended periods of time.Specific Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Work safely.</li><li>Maintain safe and clean equipment and work area.</li><li>Install, maintain and service water treatment systems.</li><li>Perform duties defined by provided daily checklist and document.</li><li>Complete service logs as required.</li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of internal and external customer requirements and provide quality service.</li><li>Assist with gathering and responding to compliance inquiries/concerns.</li><li>Maintain operational quality standards as predetermined by management.</li><li>Follow all safety and equipment checks and precautions in the performance of all duties. Assist the Superintendent with accident investigations and preparing the necessary paperwork.</li><li>Conform in all respects with applicable federal, provincial and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.</li><li>Attend and assist with safety and branch meetings.</li><li>Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.</li><li>Train in unfamiliar processes and equipment, within established guidelines.</li><li>Operation of equipment and vehicles.</li><li>Follow Environment, Health and Safety policies, procedures, and all environmental protocols and requirements.</li><li>Actively participate in safety meetings, identify and report all incidents, and participate in investigations as necessary.</li><li>Work in an outdoor setting in various weather conditions.</li><li>Performs yard housekeeping duties as required to maintain a clean and organized work environment.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications and Education<ul><li>Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a fairly clean Commercial Driving Abstract.</li><li>Work out of town for extended periods as needed.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<ul><li>Solid written communication skills to complete compliance inquiries and paperwork.</li><li>Possess effective verbal communication skills to interact with Company staff, contractors, and customers.</li><li>Ability to perform mathematical calculations as required for the job.</li><li>Ability to multi-task, exercise good judgment and think proactively.</li><li>Work without direct supervision with only assistance from fellow team members and general operating and safety guidelines.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills, with strong work ethic and positive attitude to represent the GFL brand effectively and favorably.</li><li>Ability to perform moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks.</li><li>Physically fit with the ability to lift +50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.</li><li>Ability to work in all weather conditions</li></ul>This is a safety sensitive position.
