About this opportunityWe specialise in the manufacture and supply of rigid plastic and metal packaging servicing for the consumer and industrial sectors.As Supply and Demand Planner, you will perform a pivotal role as the conduit between supply planning and manufacturing scheduling.This includes forecasting, demand &amp; supply planning as well as the S&amp;OP process to unlock capacity and maximise plant performance.Your key responsibilities will be to:Safety and Quality   <ul><li>Engage in relevant WHS campaigns that actively drive a culture of behavioural safety and preventative safety measures and activities.  </li><li>Maintain quality standards and controls to manufacture and produce packaging solutions that meet customer expectations and requirements</li><li>Ensure that work is carried out in a safe working manner (Take5 &amp; LOTO) and maintaining safe working environments.</li><li>Immediately report instances of near misses or incidents.</li></ul>Reliability<ul><li>Complete scheduled tasks and mechanical breakdown tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor</li><li>Work independently at times but also as part of a team to achieve the best outcome for the business</li><li>Scope, complete, record and close out work using MEX Works Orders</li><li>Support the production team</li><li>Liaise with Electrical Trades where required</li><li>Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects to achieve improved Safety, Productivity, Quality &amp; Reliability</li><li>Maintain spare parts inventory as required</li></ul>Challenges<ul><li>A developed safety awareness and ability to work within a strong safety culture</li><li>An analytical ability to fault find and diagnose problems</li><li>Written &amp; verbal communication skills</li></ul>Decision Making<ul><li>Problem solving with a cost-effective solution that maximises production uptime</li><li>Prioritising safety above all else</li></ul>Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:<ul><li>Prior experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Understanding of “good practice” preventative maintenance strategies</li><li>Hydraulic and Pneumatics experience</li><li>Restricted or full electrical license desirable but not essential</li><li>Basic computer skills for record-keeping and data entry</li><li>Fault finding and problem solving diagnosis</li><li>Follow preventative maintenance program</li></ul>
