We are currently seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to join our team, specifically to work during weekends and take responsibility for improvement projects related to our state-of-the-art vacuum manufacturing equipment. This work will span multiple engineering disciplines. You'll be working with an experienced team of mechanical, electrical, and materials engineers and scientists. You will be responsible for taking improvement projects from concept to fully tested, documented, and implemented solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Improvement & Upgrades – Identify, plan, and execute upgrades to enhance tool reliability and process capabilities.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting – Provide support for facility-level equipment, plasma reactors, and industrial control systems (PLCs, sensors, power supplies, etc.).
- Supplier & Hardware Management – Work with suppliers to improve parts and integrate off-the-shelf hardware for automation and process control.
- Collaboration & Documentation – Partner with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems and develop procedures, checklists, and training materials.
- Installation & Maintenance – Build, install, upgrade, and maintain equipment while providing technical support, including weekends as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in ME, EE, ChemE, or similar from an ABET-accredited school.
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- Independent problem solver with hands-on experience designing, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated safety leadership.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
