We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Acoustic Design Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing the acoustic performance of future vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and make a direct impact on the development of advanced acoustic technologies and push automotive audio forward.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and develop acoustic systems and components.

· Perform acoustic simulations, analyses, and modeling using software tools (e.g., COMSOL, MATLAB, CAD, or similar).

· Develop and optimize integration solutions.

· Collaborate closely with product development teams to ensure that acoustic requirements are integrated into the design process from concept to production.

· Conduct acoustic testing, including measurements of sound pressure levels, frequency response, and other relevant parameters to validate design performance.

· Analyze the acoustic performance of prototypes and make design adjustments based on testing results and simulations.

· Troubleshoot and resolve acoustic-related issues in designs and products throughout the development lifecycle.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in acoustic design, materials, and testing techniques to continuously improve design processes.

· Prepare detailed design documentation, including technical reports, design specifications, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.

· Proven experience (5 years) working as an Acoustic Design Engineer or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in acoustic design, simulation, and optimization.

· Strong knowledge of acoustic principles and audio engineering.

· Proficiency in acoustic simulation and analysis software (e.g., COMSOL, MATLAB, CAD tools, or other specialized acoustic design tools).

· Familiarity with acoustic measurement and analysis.

· Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address complex acoustic design challenges.

· Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for innovation in product design.

· Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Master's degree in Acoustics or a related field.

· Experience with advanced acoustic technologies.

· Experience with audio signal processing.

· Experience with audio EE.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
 
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$154,000$211,750 USD
