Remora is hiring a Software Engineer I - Controls who will develop software that runs hardware and collects, decodes, and communicates critical information between controllers, all while helping to tackle the defining challenge of our time.
Responsibilities ranging from:
Writing lower-level code that enables higher-level code to execute
Merging various forms of code into usable and debuggable cohesive code, such as merging Matlab Simulink code into the C code that runs on the device controller
Building one time use code for test benches designed with and for other team members
Automating tasks for repeatability within the device itself or for testing
Writing in multiple software languages such as: C, C++, Python, Arduino, and others (even proprietary languages)
Continuously learning how to improve CO2 capture rate, dependability, and repeatability through software changes
Organizing and improving the Python script that runs our data collection and database management
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science OR 2+ years of relevant work experience
Experience with Python, and interest in writing software for physical systems
