Job Description

Remora is hiring a Sorbent Regeneration Scientist II or III who will test and develop sorbent regeneration methods, all while helping to tackle the defining challenge of our time.

Responsibilities:

  • Rapid and effective sorbent regeneration methods
  • Conduct bench, small-scale, and full-scale regeneration tests
  • Suggest improvements that decrease regeneration energy requirements while improving cycle time or efficiency
  • Confirm recovery efficiency across many cycles
  • Novel regeneration methods
  • Research new or emerging processes
  • Develop bench-scale testing to evaluate efficacy and fit

Requirements - Scientist II:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and 4+ years of relevant work experience OR 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Familiar with relevant laboratory equipment and practices

Requirements - Scientist III:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience OR relevant advanced degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • 4+ years of management experience with a team of 10+ people
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant laboratory equipment and practices
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Ability to build and manage a large team as the company grows
  • Creative, outside-the-box thinker with lots of new ideas

Logistics:

  • Location: Ann Arbor, MI - Detroit, MI
  • Start date: by March 1, 2022
