We are seeking a Project Management Engineer to join NACOS (Navigation and Communication Systems), a division of Wärtsilä, a global leader in smart technologies and complete lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets. NACOS specializes in navigation, communication, and integrated bridge systems for the global maritime industry. Role Overview:
As a Project Management Engineer, you will ensure successful project execution by preparing quotations, managing project costs and budgets, overseeing end-to-end project execution, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
This role is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and offers a hybrid working schedule, requiring two days per week in the office.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare quotations and create project cost/budget and financial milestone data in our ERP system.
Oversee end-to-end project execution, coordinating with vendors, procurement teams, and technical experts to ensure accurate costing, timely availability, and compliance with project specifications.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear and timely communication.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
At least 2 years of experience in project management or a technical role.
Required proficiency in ERP systems and project management software.
Experience in creating project cost/budget and financial milestone data.
Ability to oversee project execution, including coordination with vendors and procurement teams.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in resource planning and optimization.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
To ensure a smooth and effective onboarding process, the selected candidate will be required to work onsite for the first 6 weeks. This will facilitate better integration into the team, understanding of company culture, and hands-on training.
