Role Purpose
With broad directions and plans and working with the Senior Manager – Digital HR, support the Workday application within Wood Mackenzie to include, incident management, delivery of enhancements and small projects and participation in the delivery of larger projects. You will work with key stakeholders to understand business requirements, define scope and understand dependencies, allowing you to ensure stability, reliability and data security on the existing Workday platform whilst supporting a continually evolving and growing business through ensuring successful and timely delivery on requirements for enhancements and projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Work to resolve any issues and requests from users relating to the Workday platform working with 3rd party support providers and Workday when required
- Help manage requests for day-to-day data maintenance to include but not limited to user access and security, master data values, complex organisational changes
- Work towards becoming a Wood Mackenzie solutions expert on the Workday platform understanding all key components and reliance and integration on other systems
- Contribute to a rolling release program of enhancements and reporting requests as prioritised by the Senior Manager – Digital HR and Business Solutions Governance Board
- Work within the Workday team to understand the application roadmap including the content of the periodic releases and how any changes will impact existing processes, support communication of these impacts to the key stakeholders
- Support testing and regression testing of changes, periodic updates and integrations within the HR systems area
- Support the business to write requirements documents and translate them into functional design documents for complex enhancements and interfaces
- Ensure all process and knowledge share information and tools are kept up to date as the business and processes evolve.
- Support internal and external audit activities as required and ensure that the controls supporting the Workday solution within Wood Mackenzie reflects the governance standards required
- Ensure data privacy remains at the core of everything we do on the platform
About You
- An experienced HR systems support professional with a passion and a genuine interest for Workday HR cloud technologies and products developed over 5+ years
- Experienced in supporting and configuring Workday HCM, Compensation, Recruiting and Talent Optimisation for a global organisation.
- Experience of working in a business applications environment using Workday technology
- Ability to understand complex business process flows and the data dependencies within them
- Experienced in communicating with HR business stakeholders
- Experience as a HR professional preferred
- Workday Pro or Certification desirable
Expectations
- We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.
- While this is expected to be a full-time role, part-time arrangements will be considered.
- Due to the global nature of the team, a degree of flexible working will be required to accommodate different time zones being worked within our team and our wider business.
