Project Manager

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide project management and/or project governance of projects to achieve reliable project performance in terms of sophistication, timeliness and quality;
• Build and maintain strong and effective client relationships through successful project delivery and targeted activities;
• Contribute to providing leadership to employees on the project to ensure project team cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention, and professional development.
• Effectively manages and leads a team of nominated direct reports to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development

Qualification:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (or equivalent);
• Project Management qualifications.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Extensive project management and consulting skills, achieving prescribed budget, timeframe, and client requirements;
• Well-developed communication and influencing skills to advise and guide complex project design development in a proactive manner and to represent SMEC as a valuable contributor to the project;
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant design codes, Local Regulatory Authority Guidelines and Australian Standards;
• Ability to identify the appropriate resourcing for projects;
• Ability to identify requirements for skills development within the team;
• Demonstrated knowledge of the business/marketing context of business solutions.
