As a Senior Project Manager within AECOM’s London Project Management Team, you will be responsible for leading and managing medium to large-scale built environment and construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring their successful delivery while continuing to develop your specialised knowledge.

Your role will involve overseeing significant phases of projects, guiding junior team members, and fostering client and consultant relationships. Additionally, you will support business development activities and contribute to AECOM's team and organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Deliver: Drive project delivery on our project management commissions to meet time, budget, and quality requirements, while fostering collaboration among clients, consultants, contractors, and team members.
  • Client-Centric Excellence: Strengthen client relationships by delivering an exceptional service, aligning project outcomes with client objectives and contributing to the business’ growth.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and support junior members of our team in their career development, contribute to talent development initiatives and champion a positive, high-performance team culture.
  • Industry Engagement and Growth: Support bids and business development activities, engage with industry forums and networking events, and take ownership of your professional growth and knowledge-sharing within the organisation.

Skills and Experiences

  • Experience and technical knowledge in project management within the built environment or construction industry.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate leadership potential and good client relationship management.
  • Be proactive, solution-oriented and adaptable to changing circumstances
  • Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS, CIOB, APM) achieved or commitment to achieve one.
  • Ability to support the development of colleagues, particularly towards professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB, APM).
