Job Description

  

General Summary

This role supports global inventory optimization initiatives and is pivotal in aligning corporate financial objectives with operational metrics, creating custom ERP reports, and implementing Teledyne’s Inventory Playbook. It requires proficiency in supply chain and operations, along with a strong understanding of how data influences business decision-making. Additionally, this role involves developing reports from ERP systems, financial reporting, and ad hoc systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Create custom ERP data-driven reports that correlate business plan corporate objectives (e.g., inventory as a % of sales) to operational metrics and actions.
  • Create and implement inventory management ERP-based reports to help the businesses improve inventory performance (focus on core ERPs).
  • Interpret data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements to achieve the business plan.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to drive standardization – work closely with IT to identify ERP settings, establish data architecture to effectively report inventory & planning KPIs. Promote cross-segment best practice sharing.
  • Create and manage Inventory Playbook scorecard: automate quick wins reporting and collaborate with key stakeholders to implement action plans and operationalize the Inventory Playbook.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional segment teams to gather and analyze data, providing actionable insights and driving business process changes; execute targeted strategic initiatives (e.g., SKU rationalization, inventory entitlement).
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
  • Identify trends and patterns in inventory data to support strategic planning and forecasting.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all inventory-related reports and systems.
  • Provide support in the development and implementation of inventory management policies and procedures.

Data and Information Management

  • Participate or lead in the design, implementation & deployment of supply chain reports and dashboards.
  • Provide mechanism for tracking and reporting Key Performance Indicators.

Teledyne Supply Chain Business Strategy:

  • Provide project and process support for policy changes.
  • Provides training, information, and support throughout the function.
  • Participate in development & deployment of overall Teledyne procurement policies and processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:

  • BA/BS in IT, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Successful 5+ year track record in a Data Analyst \ Information Management, preferred 3-5 years in supply chain and operational related analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Proficiency in Power BI: Strong understanding of data modelling and transformation techniques and ability to design interactive reports and dashboards.
  • Advanced PC skills, including MS Teams administration, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written presentation/communication and influencing skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates high level of interpersonal and communication skills to work across functional and organizational lines with uncompromising ethics.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced, and challenging environment to effectively meet deadlines and projects by using appropriate methodology and tools.
  • Ability to independently assess situations and respond accordingly.
  • Advanced understanding of databases.
  • Strong technical aptitude: ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
  • Self-starter, adapts and works effectively within a rapidly changing business and technical environment.

Salary Range:

$77,000.00-$102,600.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
