<div><span style="font-size:14.6667px;">SEI is bringing a systems engineering approach to the Zoox mobility-as-a-service product.  We are systems engineers working directly with other supporting ecosystem teams to develop and mature architectures, validations, tools, and processes inspired by systems engineering best practices.</span></div><div><br></div><div>This role will be responsible for building a list of granular metrics of residual operational risks. They are responsible for coming up with strategies of bringing up operational performance with the ever-increasing target for each Zoox Release, identify roadmaps towards service performance goals and work with a large cross-functional team that operates the increasing fleet size. </div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will:</h3><ul><li>Model the performance impact of specific robotaxi, including vehicle platform features, AI Behavior features, teleops and operations. </li><li>Understand and improve the performance of existing hardware and AI software with increasing fleet size and expansion of ODD.</li><li>Maintain the model and improve it to ensure high prediction accuracy</li><li>Identify bottlenecks of performance and ensure the cross-functional effort in following up the improvement plan</li><li>Communicate the model outcome to cross functional teams and executives, work closely with other quantitative research teams at Zoox.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>M.S. or higher degree in an Engineering or Science discipline with a strong focus on Statistics, Probability Theory, or Data Science</li><li>Proficiency in quantitative analysis/modeling tools</li><li>Have the ability to use Python to interface with Zoox-internal driving- and simulation data sources</li><li>5+ years relevant work experience in understanding and quantifying risks</li><li>Collaborative team player with strong written and in-person communication skills</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Metrics ownership in autonomous driving or robotics is a plus</li></ul><br><div><b style="font-size:16px;">Compensation</b></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $190,000 to $274,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
