THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Professional to join our dynamic Group Finance team.  

In this role, you will take the lead on financial projects focusing on project management, implementation, reconciliation, systems integration, and data population. Additionally, you will manage key initiatives within Group Finance, such as financial process mapping and standardisation, and Group Audit support/coordination.  

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in finance, analytical problem-solving skills, and prior experience in a consultancy environment, enabling them to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven setting. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and execute financial projects, ensuring accuracy, reconciliation and alignment across multiple accounts and systems 
  • Manage and oversee key Group Finance projects, including: 
  • Financial process mapping to optimize and streamline workflows 
  • Anaplan (BI tool) implementation to enhance management accounts reporting and budgeting/forecasting 
  • Yooz and Access Pay (AP/treasury tools) implementation to enhance invoice automation and processing as well as treasury and cash flow management 
  • NetSuite (accounting tool) maintenance and improvement 
  • Group Audit coordination to support audit preparation and ensure compliance 
  • Drive systems integration efforts, collaborating with IT and finance teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency 
  • Populate, analyse, and manage large data sets to support decision-making and reporting needs 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational accuracy 
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all financial projects, including workflows, methodologies, and outcomes 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations on financial project outcomes 
  • Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure the successful completion of financial initiatives

  • Ability to compile and present data clearly, attractively concisely and in a way that others find compelling and easy to digest  
  • Ability to balance priorities 
  • Good commercial understanding of the sector 
  • IT Literacy  - You should have an interest in technology, including AI, and show the aptitude to bring this into your role and the projects for which you are accountable. You do not need to be a technologist yourself but you must be technically literate and curious about the possibilities that technology  
  • Delivery focus – it may sound obvious, but the ability to proactively churn through work at pace and deliver quality outputs really matters 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Passion for our mission ‘to generate a more sustainable future by leading the transition to clean energy

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • +2 years of experience in a financial or consultancy role 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment 
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. 
  • Certification or coursework in financial analysis, data analytics, or project management (e.g., CFA, PMP)

  • Hybrid working – we will need you in the central Milan office at least twice a week, but you will normally be able to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
