Beyond providing competitive salaries, we’re providing a community for innovators who want to make an immediate and significant impact. If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.

Lucid Motors is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to drive the strategy, development, and execution of EV charging solutions for our cutting-edge electric vehicle lineup. As the Director of Charging and Smart Energy, you will lead cross-functional teams to define and implement the vision for charging infrastructure, user experience, and smart energy products, while ensuring alignment with our brand and technical goals.

  • Oversee the integration of the North American Charging Standard (NACS) with the Tesla Supercharger network, ensuring alignment with long-term charging infrastructure goals.
  • Evaluate charging solutions, balancing in-house development versus external partnerships, and lead decisions related to charging infrastructure investments.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends by tracking new systems, processes, standards, and emerging technologies in EV infrastructure, ensuring our charging solutions remain at the forefront of innovation.
  • Track and assess the hardware, software, and backend needs for current and future charging solutions, ensuring compatibility with Lucid vehicles globally.
  • Define product requirements and lead the development of smart energy systems, including bi-directional charging technologies such as V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle), V2L (vehicle-to-load), V2H (vehicle-to-home), and V2G (vehicle-to-grid).
  • Ensure that all charging solutions meet technical interoperability standards, regulatory requirements, and certification processes to ensure global compliance.
  • Develop and maintain a robust reporting and analytics framework to track fleet performance and optimize the overall charging experience, driving continuous improvements.

You Bring:

  • Proven experience in EV charging infrastructure, smart energy products, or related technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Expertise in user experience design, product vision, and market research for technology products.
  • Deep understanding of industry standards, charging protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in managing strategic partnerships and driving operational initiatives.
