We are looking for an experienced Resident Engineer for a National Roads Project based in the Free State. The project is already underway and will be completed by January 2026.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile national infrastructure project, working on complex road upgrades that will have a lasting impact on connectivity and economic growth. To be considered for this role you need to have worked on at least two National Roads Projects. Structural Experience is highly advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Site Supervision & Progress Monitoring: Oversee all construction and installation activities, ensuring contractor progress aligns with project timelines
- Technical Reporting: Provide input on-site progress, update measurements for completed work, and contribute to progress reports
- Performance & Quality Control: Review equipment, staff, and work methods to identify deficiencies before delays or quality issues arise
- Commercial & Contract Management: Track contractor invoices, issue Non-Conformance Reports, manage site instructions, justify delays or claims, and address variations
- Compliance & Safety Assurance: Ensure all site work, laboratory tests, and designs meet specifications, codes, standards, and HSE regulations
- Record Keeping & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project-related correspondence and activities
- Operational & Staff Management: Oversee site operations and manage personnel to ensure smooth project execution
- Environmental & Safety Regulations: Enforce strict safety, security, and environmental protection measures during construction
- Project Delivery Support: Assist the Contracts Engineer and Client in meeting project deadlines and quality expectations
- Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation: Apply ISO 9001-based site management systems for effective quality control
