Position:
Technical Team Leader (Multiple Openings)
Duties:
Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Support program management in product and process development. Create and execute goals, timing, and cost for projects. Communicate and coordinate projects between program management, engineering, customer representatives, and corporate representatives. Identify design work and create design specifications for a variety of complex product components to obtain operational, cost, quality, and manufacturing feasibility improvements. Analyze complex design problems and formulate engineering conclusions by the application of engineering and mathematical principles. Create 3-dimensional models of designs as required by projects using specialized software for release or support of other activities. Consult with personnel in various engineering activities relative to the design, drafting, and experimental construction of product components. Provide technical support and follow-up on Design/Product Validation activities. Provides engineering direction and support to design personnel. Implement customer-specific requirements. Create and maintain DFMEA, DVP, Open Issue Lists, and Timelines as required. Support requests of program management as needed. Communicate project objectives within the engineering team as well as with client stakeholders.

Salary Offered: $118,000 per year.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s – Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study; will accept
equivalent foreign degree.
Experience:
Ten (10) years in the position above, as a Junior/Senior Product Designer, or
in a related mechanical engineering role.
Experience must include each of the following:
1. At least eight (8) years working on automotive design.
2. CATIA V5/V6 CAD software.
3. Exterior trim, interior trim, and Door in White systems.
4. Mold and stamping tooling feasibility studies.
5. Dimensional management principles including reference point system, geometric
dimensioning and tolerancing, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
6. TeamCenter and VW Connect product lifestyle management systems
7. Leading cross-functional teams.
8. Interfacing with customers including managing projects and deliverables.
