Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company whose mission is to enable the world鈥檚 transition to clean energy, with the ultimate goal to dramatically improve people鈥檚 quality of life while protecting the environment. Job Summary

Kairos Power is seeking a highly motivated Construction Coordinator to support the business goals and objectives of the company. You will work closely with our construction and engineering teams to develop and maintain the overall schedules of project completion. You will be responsible for building and updating schedules at various milestones, as project deliverables are completed, and as scopes of work are added to a project, and to provide updates to key team members on the progress of project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with construction project team, engineers, superintendents, contractors, and other project staff to provide support of project documentation, planning, and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction
  • Support development of resource and cost loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the projects
  • Develop project information within the Kairos Construction Management Software (CMS) tool, currently Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Track the impact of design changes and schedule slippages thru the CMS.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction terminology, and concepts to develop and maintain project documentation.
  • Accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting
  • May interface with internal clients and exterior vendors, attend regular meetings, and give status reports
  • Performs administrative tasks such as preparing progress reports and arranging meetings
  • Communicates with clients, and tracks project progress
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree with construction scheduling experience.  Associates or Bachelors in an Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field. Preference to candidates with Construction Scheduling (CS) Certification
  • 3+ years of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication presentation skills are a must
  • Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes and standards, and an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units
  • Ability to work with highly collaborative team
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Prioritizes and ensures safety of one self and others
  • Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge
  • Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges and issues

Physical Conditions

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
  • Adjusting, moving, transporting, installing, positioning, or removing objects up to 20 pounds in all directions
