DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Residential Solar Installer to join our team, focusing on solar installations for homes across Central Alberta. As a Residential Solar Installer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring they are installed safely and efficiently while meeting high-quality standards. Duties:<ul><li>Install solar PV systems on rooftops and ground mounts, ensuring proper alignment, fastening, and commissioning.</li><li>Load and unload construction materials, moving them to work areas</li><li>Assemble and install solar racking and modules according to specifications</li><li>Ensure all electrical wiring is completed accurately and safely.</li><li>Perform site preparation tasks, including leveling earth, trench digging, or backfilling.</li><li>Remove rubbish, recycling, and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.</li><li>Operate manual and powered hand tools</li><li>Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of installed systems</li></ul> Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience in solar installation or other electrical/construction work</li><li>Class 5 driver’s licence.</li><li>Knowledge of electrical construction and safety concerns</li><li>CSTS 2020 Foundations (available online for free through ACSA)</li><li>A quality mindset and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions</li><li>Previous fall arrest training an asset</li></ul> Additional Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li>Assist electrical or supervisor colleagues in their tasks as required.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns from residential or commercial clients.</li></ul> </div></div>
