Overall Function
The Project Manager, Information Technology, will play a critical support role in the development, execution, and communication of IT projects. This position will plan, execute, and finalize multiple projects, work across teams, and support engagement with external partners and vendors as well as carefully coordinate research efforts and communication related projects. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle and act as a liaison between EDF business users and technologists. They will coordinate, create, and maintain written materials, including helping to translate analyses into written, oral, and visual presentations for broader consumption. Further, they will develop recommendations and action steps using advanced knowledge gleaned from previous experience, key stakeholders, and EDF staff, resulting in project outcomes that are practically and technically sound from a business and operational perspective. This role requires a robust understanding of business, technology, and project management best practices, will work on EDF-wide initiatives, and will interact with senior leadership.
The Project Manager reports to the Director, Technology Projects.
Key Responsibilities
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Plan, schedule and track project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
Participate in advancing EDF Diversity, Equity & Inclusion goals in which people from all backgrounds and experiences feel connected, included, and empowered to address the environmental and organizational challenges in alignment with EDF values.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Drive the requirements gathering process, determines needs and clearly articulates as simple use cases and acceptance criteria for features and enhancements.
Lead brainstorming discussions for business problem resolution and make recommendations as appropriate.
Professionally represent the IT team in internal meetings with stakeholders of various levels.

Qualifications
4+ years of Business Analysis or relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, accounting or related field or equivalent required.
Skilled in project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, etc.
Demonstrated project management expertise and project management software proficiency, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
ERP systems or software implementation experience preferred.
Demonstrated self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds. Working knowledge of Asana is preferred.
Fluency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint.
Knowledge and comfort with new concepts and technologies.
Ability to multivariable cause and effect scenarios within the business and identify key root causes.
Attentive to detail, proactive, and highly organized.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to plan workload, prioritize, adapt to shifting strategies, and meet tight deadlines.
Strong understanding of both business and technology processes to be able to explain the business needs to the technology teams.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a part of a multidisciplinary team spread across multiple time zones.
Excellent presentation and verbal and oral communications skills to deliver information to both technology and non-technology users on tasks of varying levels of complexity.
Willingness and ability to occasionally travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
