Inspect and test raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with size, color, texture and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and testing to track improvements and identify areas of concern within the production process.
Provide training to production staff on quality measures and how to use equipment correctly. They also collaborate with various teams to ensure quality across all business operations.
Participate in Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility.
Perform applicable materials testing per acceptance activities and/or specification.
Strong knowledge of interpreting drawings, customer specification, test methods, and inspection criteria.
Maintain complete, legible, and accurate records.
Independently handle problems that arise within area of responsibility.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices.
Knowledge of scheduling methods and ability to change priorities when directed by Supervisor/Manager.
Interact effectively with other employees within the department and the company.
Release product to next location upon completion within SAP system.
At least 3-4 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
Quality Technician Degree or related field is required.
Bachelor's degree in secondary education.
Student in a related engineering discipline.
Knowledge of Molding and Catheters is preferred.
Basic knowledge of FDA, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulations related to quality and the medical device industry.
Knowledge of statistics and Minitab, including assessments of process capability and data normality, analysis of variance, hypothesis testing, determining appropriate sample sizes, assessments of tolerance intervals for variable and attribute data, design of experiment (DOE), and applications of variable and attribute sampling plans.
Must be proactive and self-motivated.
Strong technical writing skills are preferred.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to operate with some direction and adaptability to changing requirements.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
