As a pharma automation engineer, you will be part of a skilled automation team driving project execution.

Responsibilities / Tasks

As a Pharma Automation Engineer, you will be ensuring high-quality and state-of-the-art automation solutions for pharmaceutical process plants. You will play a key role in project execution, collaborating with colleagues and customers to deliver efficient and compliant automation solutions.

More specifically, you will:

  • Design and manage automation solutions for pharma process plants, ensuring quality and compliance with project timelines and budgets.
  • Program and configure SCADA, PLC, and HMI systems, as well as develop and maintain standard automation software solutionsPrepare and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for both hardware (MCCs) and software (PLC code).
  • Execute commissioning, I/O test, Site Acceptance test (SAT)
  • Develop and maintain automation and quality documentation, validation including GxP compliance and functional safety regulations.
  • Support project and design engineers in creating Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
  • Ensure compliance with ATEX and other industry regulations for hazardous environments.
  • Align large-scale projects with customer and GEA standards, such as ISA 88 and tagging.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, optimization, and remote or on-site technical support.

This role offers great development opportunities in a global company with a dynamic and collaborative work environment and should expect approximately 60 travel days.

Your Profile / Qualifications

You are passionate and curious about technology and possess a focused and analytic drive to proactively seek solutions when faced with challenges. You thrive when you go into the technical details, have a structured way of working, and do not mind giving a helping hand to colleagues. This means that you are able to interact, communicate and present complex information to both specialists as well as non-technical colleagues and stakeholders.

We furthermore imagine that you bring:

  • Several years of experience in industrial automation, process control, working with P&IDs and Functional Descriptions
  • Relevant education, such as electrical engineering or another electrical/automation-related field
  • Interest in designing automation solutions for process plants, including documentation
  • Strong knowledge of programming and related tasks in electrical systems and automation
  • In depth understanding of ATEX regulation and hazardous area equipment.
  • General understanding of automation in the process industry.
  • English proficiency and perhaps also Danish skills.

We also hope that you bring strong knowledge within SCADA and PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradely etc..), Virtual Machines, SQL database, S88 batch control, and functional safety regulations.
