At our Søborg office, you will lead a team of ten colleagues in GEA’s Operational Procurement department, working together to ensure a seamless and efficient Procurement & Supply Chain function.
We play a key role in managing the Source-to-Pay process, negotiating strong supplier agreements, and optimising inbound logistics for service and project warehouses. Collaboration is at our core - we share knowledge, support each other, and work closely with stakeholders across GEA to streamline workflows and drive procurement excellence.
Responsibilities / Tasks
As Director Operational Procurement, you will own the Procure-to-pay process for 3rd party components with the aim of optimising our end-to-end procurement processes, hereby ensuring that the right components are available at the right time, price, and quantity. You will have a shared responsibility, together with the Strategic Procurement function, to develop our suppliers with a focus on ensuring a stable and cost-effective supply chain.
At the same time, you will optimise inventory management for service and project warehouses, balancing stock levels, streamlining inbound processes, and continuously improving key procurement metrics.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring a strong performance-driven culture while leading and developing your team
- Optimising P2P processes for 3rd party components, ensuring standardisation and automation for greater efficiency
- Enhancing inbound logistics for service and project warehouses, including stock initiatives, reorder points (ROP), and service levels
- Supporting strategic projects from the early sales/tender phase, providing procurement insights for better decision-making
- Developing the Operational Procurement organization’s capabilities and employees’ competencies to meet future requirements
- Contributing to Procurement & Supply Chain Management meetings, sharing best practices across the organisation.
Your Profile / Qualifications
You bring solid experience in procurement and supply chain management and thrive in an international and complex business environment. You understand the intersection between procurement, inventory management, and business strategy and can translate this into value-driven solutions.
Your qualifications include:
- 5+ years of experience in procurement and/or supply chain management, including working with the P2P processes and supplier management
- Proven leadership experience, with direct people management responsibilities and experience with planning and executing lasting cultural changes in a team
- Strong business acumen and an understanding of the end-to-end supply chain, including expertise in cost drivers, demand planning, and supply chain optimisation
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta), and a solid understanding of total cost of ownership and supplier agreements
- Fluency in English – Danish or additional languages are a plus
