Position Overview

The Compliance Analyst will work closely with junior and senior members of Apollo’s Compliance team to ensure regulatory compliance across Apollo’s global investment platform. The Analyst will primarily focus on implementation of controls relating to compliance with Apollo’s firm trading policies but will also gain exposure to other aspects of Apollo’s compliance program. Apollo is looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

For EMEA (between others):

  • Workflows related to the maintenance of the restricted trading list including requests for firm trading and other information controls e.g. conflicts clearance, data room access, expert network approvals

  • Be a key point of contact for market soundings, wall crossings and other MAR-related queries

  • Assist in managing the compliance relationships with front office teams

For Lux (between others):

  • Assisting with delegate onboarding and oversight from a compliance point of view.

  • Assisting with the discharge of the AIFM’s AML/CTF obligations on investors and transactions.

  • Assisting with the delivery of the AIFM’s compliance monitoring programme and preparing reports based on the results of control activities.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the drafting, maintenance and implementation of policies, procedures and trainings.

  • Assisting with other general compliance matters and projects as needed, notably on regulatory reporting and the branches compliance framework.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Strong academic background (i.e. degree level or recognised professional certification)

    • 0-3 years financial services experience and/or knowledge of the Lux and/or European regulatory regime

    • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and securities market regulation

    • Ability to think critically and solve challenges with innovative solutions

    • High ethical standards

    • Ability to collaborate with colleagues while exercising independent judgment

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (native or outstanding level)

    • Excellent ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail

    • Entrepreneurial, self-guided work ethic with results-driven orientation

    • Excels in a fast-paced, rigorous work environment; effectively prioritizes and meets deadlines
