SMEC has opportunities in one of the ongoing local Rail projects in Pacific region as a Sustainability Design Specialist and the requirement is as follows:

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, architecture, ecology, biodiversity, environmental engineering/planning, material engineering, or related field. Master’s degree in the aforementioned field is strongly preferred;
• At least 10 year’s work experience in environmental management, and environmental sustainability or other relevant fields;
• Ideal candidate must have experience on number of land transport projects involving sustainability planning, feasibility of sustainable designs and applications thereof in preliminary engineering design, basic design, or detailed engineering design. These projects must have involved the design of nature-based solutions, green-grey approaches, or net-zero/net positive solutions, or other similar solutions;
• Knowledge and working understanding of the recent trends and technological innovations in the aforementioned field is strongly desired;
• Strong practical knowledge of the environmental and ecological conditions is a strong advantage;
• Work experience in the Asia-Pacific is preferred;
