As a Energy/Senior Energy Gas & Power Originator, you will have the unique opportunity to design, market, and implement structured energy and risk management products and strategies to optimize PGE's resource portfolio and wholesale market activities. You will evaluate and negotiate transactions to acquire new energy resources, contracts, and infrastructure, supporting PGE's competitive bidding process and long-term resource procurement. A successful candidate will have intermediate financial and risk modeling skills, as well as strong analytical thinking and business acumen. This role offers an exciting chance to shape PGE's energy future and contribute to the company's clean energy goals. Senior Level
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Energy/Risk Management Products and Strategies - Designs, markets and implements structured energy and risk management products and strategies to reduce costs, optimize assets and reduce risks associated with PGE's resource portfolio and wholesale market activities; ensures risks and benefits of structured products are identified, priced and allocated.
New Energy Resources Contracting - Evaluates and negotiates transactions to acquire new energy resources, contracts and infrastructure; supports the competitive bidding process and other procurement activities to acquire long-term resources; ensures that contract terms and conditions meet PGE's commercial, operational and risk-mitigation requirements.
Market Analysis - Identifies and assesses potential changing market dynamics or fundamental drivers that could impact price or availability of fuel and related assets.
Outbound Marketing - Conducts outbound marketing to develop positive commercial relationships and opportunities with counterparties in the wholesale energy markets; identifies opportunities for bilateral partnerships, contracts and asset transactions.
External Relations - Represents PGE in the wholesale markets; participates in industry forums and conferences; represents PGE's interests in regulatory proceedings.
Mid Level

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS
Education
Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, computer science, mathematics, engineering or other related field or equivalent experience. An MBA or MS in finance, economics or related financial discipline preferred.
Experience
Typically eight or more years in the energy industry or related field and/or related experience working autonomously making decisions in outbound facing tasks and delivering outcomes.
Mid-Level
Education
Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, computer science, mathematics, engineering or other related field or equivalent experience. An MBA or MS in finance, economics or related financial discipline preferred.
Experience
Typically five or more years in the economics, trading, financial analysis or related field and/or highly specialized skills or knowledge in a related area.

Compensation Range:
$99,975.00 - $197,375.00Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
