Job Description
The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing chemical processes within the manufacturing plant. This role involves ensuring the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of production operations while adhering to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve processes to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations and environmental standards. Manage the sites MOC program and drive the execution of changes through the system and execution in the field. Conduct/participate in PHAs and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Identify and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and improve productivity. Lead/participate in RCAs and support the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Analyze process data to identify trends and implement improvements.
- Lead and manage process improvement projects from conception to completion.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Control, and Maintenance, to achieve plant objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of process changes, experiments, and results.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering – Preferably Chemical
- 3-5 Years of Experience in a Plant/Manufacturing Environment
- Advanced computer use skills, knowledge of SAP preferred
- Demonstrated technical capabilities and understanding of maintenance work processes and the interfaces with other functional groups
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in process simulation software, excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the Albemarle Corporation's organization.
