Job Description
AECOM is currently seeing a Project Controls Engineer III to review and oversee highway, bridge, and construction schedules in the Albany area. This is an onsite position.
This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Job Roles:
- Review and analyze Contractor’s Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress Schedules on various transportation construction contracts.
- Provide recommendations to construction staff on the avoidance, minimization and mitigation of construction phase delays
- Review and analysis of Contractor’s requests for contract Time Extensions
- Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity, and participate in regular progress schedule meetings with construction team
- Provide construction management, scheduling and project set up services for all projects on enterprise P6 system.
- Develop or review Suggested Preliminary Construction Schedules during the final design stage based on the available plans, specifications and estimate provided by the project designer
- Conduct constructability reviews of the plans and specifications
- Assist in updating policies, procedures, specifications of guidance related to construction project management
- Administer enterprise databases for both Oracle Primavera P6 and Unifier are administered.
- Administering Oracle Primavera Business Intelligence application for various updates and reporting.
- Assist users of P6 enterprise system setting-up projects and assigning appropriate security to project folders.

- Collects data and produces an initial analysis for tracking actual cost to funding limitations
- Provides support for tracking purchase orders and subcontract commitments and expenditures
- Exposed to the concepts and principles of project revenue and cost
- Develops knowledge of scope control and change management
- Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles
