Duties include monitoring, coordinating, and facilitating service activities for one or more of the company’s top customers. The Service Key Account Manager is also responsible for maintaining excellent customer service activities in meetings, on calls, emails, and while in the field at customer sites. PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES  <ul><li>Analyzes data and tracks specific customer field activities while providing support by gathering the necessary departments within SMA to support the customer. </li></ul><ul><li>Develops a thorough understanding of customer service strategy, priorities, organization, and methodologies. </li></ul><ul><li>Establishes and fosters key account service partnerships through building trust, transparency, and cooperation. </li></ul><ul><li>Develops strong relationships with colleagues and solid communication structures at all relevant levels within the organization, including engineering, purchasing, sales, project management, and senior management. </li></ul><ul><li>Actively monitors service performance, drives interaction with SMA global key account managers and other relevant activities of an account, reports relevant aspects, and facilitates involvement when appropriate. </li></ul><ul><li>Assists in drafting the service portion of framework agreements for key customer accounts, focusing on global consistency and regional needs. </li></ul><ul><li>Creates annual service plans based on the service strategy. </li></ul><ul><li>Drives SMA DE R&amp;D resourcing focus to achieve breakthrough improvements in quality and uptime based on key account needs. </li></ul><ul><li>Implements and improves processes as needed. </li></ul><ul><li>Other duties as may be required or assigned. </li></ul>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  <ul><li>Education: A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience: At least 5 years of experience in electrical, electronic and/or network communications is strongly preferred. </li></ul><ul><li>Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of SMA products, solar power systems, energy storage, grid integration, and troubleshooting methodologies. </li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  <ul><li>Prior experience in the solar energy industry is strongly preferred. </li></ul><ul><li>Solid knowledge of service principles and key account management are required.  </li></ul><ul><li>Strong background in Electrical Engineering systems. </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding of AC and DC Theory. Understanding of Electromagnetism. </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of solar and/or alternative energy markets is preferred. Knowledge of National Electric Code is preferred. </li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is required.
