We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.</p><h2>Overview</h2><p>We are looking for a Composite Tooling Technician to join our team. Qualifying skills for the position includes , but is not limited to, detailing and preparing composite tooling master model surfaces for tooling prepreg and resin infusion layup processes. Your responsibilities will include building, detailing, sealing and releasing production lamination molds  in preparation for producing composite parts.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Document all work performed per company and department requirements.</li></ul><ul> <li>Continually strive to further working knowledge by applying and documenting verbal and written instructions.</li></ul><ul> <li>Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.</li></ul><ul> <li>Consistently display willingness to work and communicate in a team environment.</li></ul><p> </p><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.</li> <li>The work schedule for this position is Monday- Friday, 7:00 am- 5:30 pm.</li> <li> 1-2+yrs strong mechanical skills relating to assemblies is required.</li> <li>Understanding of composite &amp; metallic materials and their  specific handling requirements. </li> <li>Manual dexterity and ability to use hand &amp; power tools efficiently and effectively.</li> <li>Commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work in a safe manner.</li> <li>Effective communication skills and the ability to train /mentor new team members.</li> <li>Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.</li> <li>Able to become certified to wear a respirator.</li> <li>Ability  to lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs</li> <li>Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials.</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><p> </p><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $22-$30/hr.
