TITLE: QA Manger Automation

10 Years+ of experience in Automation Testing

REPORTING TO: Director

WORKING LOCATION: Bangalore

Responsibilities                                                                                                                                                 To be described

• Management of 30 – 40 QA associates.
  • Includes Performance review and growth Planning.
• Test Strategy – define the test strategy (target coverage, technologies, activity planning) for an IT Program of 200 members.
  • Define and implement automation strategies that maximize test coverage for critical system features and functions.
  • Engage with Product owner and functional analyst to clarify the requirements and strengthen the test suite if needed.
  • Feedback loop: identify gaps in test coverage. Perform root cause analysis of escape defects and derive priorities to fill the gaps.
• Delivery – Oversee the execution of the strategy
  • Test Planning and Review: Oversee the creation, maintenance and execution of tests.
  • Leadership and Coordination: Manage daily QA standups and other key project meetings to ensure alignment on project goals, testing priorities, and status updates.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to refine requirements and establish clear quality expectations.
  • Participate in reviews of test case design, test case coverage and script design with project stakeholders.
     
• Technical expertise
  • Assist with enhancing the automation test framework by supporting a continuous integration environment with an automated smoke and regression test suite.
  • Develop test automation scripts using C#, Selenium, Playwright
  • Must have knowledge on Web API testing (say using Postman or any API tools)
  • Must have SQL skills to write join and sub queries to validate the test results using the underlying database.

Technical Knowledge                

• 10+ years of experience in automation testing using C#
• Experience in testing API/web services using any API tools (e.g. Postman).
• Experience in test case design using various testing techniques.
• Good knowledge of SQL Good to have: Exposure to Performance testing tools and processes – LoadRunner, JMETER, Visual Studio Load Test, etc.

Personal Qualities:                     

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to converse with various teams (PO, Dev, Release/Deployment, Product Management, Leadership team, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• BE/MCA or equivalent degree/experience.
