What’s the role? 

We are very excited to welcome a Product Manager to our team!

 

The Product Manager SEA (Southeast Asia) is a critical position and responsible for leading the SEA Market growth. This involves managing the market portfolio offering, roadmaps, end to end sales cycle, including strategic planning, development and execution. The role is instrumental in identifying and developing business growth through leveraging L+G product, services and solutions capability and working with industry partners. You will provide technical leadership in metering portfolio strategies with an advanced understanding of metering standards, protocols and use cases. This role also has the accountability to motivate sales team towards their goals and work across the business to drive sales plan outcomes that meet the L+G business plan.

 

This role is a full-time and permanent position based in Mascot, Sydney.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Direction

  • Lead the strategic product management programs to ensure the competitive positioning of the company’s product offerings.
  • Requirements management to guide development teams, including the development of product technical specifications.

  • Ensure continual market analysis and competitive positioning.
  • Represent the company with partners to provide a professional and credible company image and ensure business objectives can be met.
  • Meet with customers to understand their requirements and pain points.
  • Liaise with the Marketing and Sales functions to ensure business objectives are met in key markets segments by identifying and responding to local market needs and opportunities.
  • Along with the rest of the leadership team, identify new areas for business growth.
  • Final responsibility for the annual Project Implementation Plan (PIP) including R&D project list and estimated budget.
  • Develop and keep updated Portfolio Roadmap plans.

 

Operational Delivery:

  • Develop and manage polices and processes for the management of the portfolio over its life cycle. Ensure portfolio roadmaps and high-level requirements definitions are updated and communicated internally on at least a quarterly basis.
  • Lead the market requirements definition process for new or significantly revised products and manage their market or customer introduction as well as providing oversight of the initial volume ramp-up (where relevant).
  • Lead the continued development of our products to meet target market needs in terms of functional requirements, profitability and overall competitiveness over the product life cycle. Specifically: product conception, launch, continuous profitability analysis, feature suitability, product revisions and extensions and phase out.
  • Develop and maintain a full suite of portfolio documentation to support the needs of the business including product strategy, launch material, sales support material including value proposition, manuals, promotional material, change management documents and phase-out guidelines to name a few.

 

Relationship Building / Partner Management:

  • Represent L+G with industry stakeholders such as government bodies and industry associations and at industry conferences and exhibitions.
  • Develop relevant partner and supplier relations to ensure successful business execution coordinating activities with L+G’s senior management team as appropriate.

 

What we are looking for:

You will bring a minimum of 10 years’ senior product management experience within the Energy Management or Utilities sector. Ideally you will have experience in electricity metering, including residential, commercial and industrial. 

You will have a proven track record in delivering results in a B2B environment and have fantastic communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
